The league tournament continues with the December cycle on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Eight players were broken down into 2 groups of 4 players. Group one had the club two top ranking players who showed up for league play that evening, Kim Nyugen 1813 and Tuan Nyugen 1770 joining two other top ranking guest players, Clyde Triumph  and Howard Eichner starting off with estimated club ratings of 2100 and 1800 respectively,  rounding  off the first group. Group two was headed by Mikhail Gorbounov 1733, Igor Knelev 1700, Akilesh Potti 1700, and Mike Miller 1696.

Clyde Triumph performed true to his ranking by winning group one while Mike Miller continues to perform impressively by taking group two.  No rating points are exchange between club members and guest players until guest players become members.

Tournament continues on Wednesdays, December 9, 16, 23 and 30, and all level of play are always welcome.  Again non-league players cannot be given a club rating without competing in league tournament.  Prizes to the winner of two or more group winnings in any given cycle as well as grand prizes at the end in April 2010.
